Crashing,
or system freezes that prevent you from continuing (and potentially)
your work, is an unfortunate part of the computing experience.
41 percent had occasional crashes, 18 percent had weekly
crashes and 6 percent had daily crashes. 18 percent never
crashed and 12 percent didn't know how often their computers
crashed.
Upgrading,
or adding changes and improvements to your computer's hardware
and software, is another aspect of the computer experience.
18 percent upgrade every year, 24 percent upgrade every
two years. 6 percent upgrade every five years, and an
astonishing 47 percent of our clients weren't sure how often
they should upgrade -- a telling sign of the unpredictableness
of the computer industry.
Our
final question involved what computer needs were perceived
by our clients. Nothing was the top answer at 29 percent,
another indiciation of a growing weariness of constant upgrading.
