Our
second question asked if our clients had specific peripherals
with their computer system. 88 percent use a modem,
usually to connect to the Internet or to send faxes, 82
percent have a CD-ROM drive, for multimedia and software
usage, and 24 percent use a scanner for inputting word
or picture image information into the computer. 24 percent
have all three.
Question
Number Three asked what applications used by Remain.com clients.
65 percent use Microsoft Office, followed closely by
web browser software usage, such as Netscape Navigator
and Microsoft Internet Explorer at 59 percent. Other
software programs cited include page-design programs like
Adobe PageMaker and QuarkXpress (18 percent), networking solution
programs like Lotus Notes (6 percent) and photo-imaging programs
(6 percent). 18 percent use other programs not cited on the
survey.
How
many people use email every day? Our fourth question found
that 82 percent of Remain.com's clients check email daily.
